Probably the absolute worst thing to be compared to in scripture is chaff, the leftover husk of grains and grass which remains after the threshing process; they are those who have not been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ and are His enemy, the worthless material which is carried away by the wind or burned with unquenchable fire.
Job 21:17-18, Isaiah 29:5-6 and Matthew 3:11-12.
