The enumeration of enemy forces into thousands, or legions in scripture usually deals with military groups of earthly soldiers that came together against the nation of Israel before the fall, but also the gathering of demons who oppose the Lord Jesus Christ and His kingdom; most of the time, the word of God mentions them in the context of being slain or falling by the hand of the righteous.
