Ezekiel Twenty-Three - Committing Harlotry

"Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. They committed harlotry in Egypt, they committed harlotry in their youth; their breasts were there embraced, their virgin bosom was there pressed. Their names: Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister; they were Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem is Oholibah," Ezekiel 23:2-4, NKJV. #CommittingHarlotry
According to the scriptures, the worst sin a woman can commit is harlotry, often translated into the word adultery or whoredom, which are similar derivations of the word; the act of a woman going outside a committed relationship with a man, particularly her husband, to another, is a metaphor used by God to show the spiritual infidelity of an individual who was once a believer turning to another religion or blatantly living a sinful life, but most often used to describe the acts of a collective group of people who allegedly represent the people of God yet revel in the sinful delights of the world, as with the modern day church and the body of Christ.
Leviticus 20:1-7, Hosea 1:2 and Revelation 2:18-24.
