The scriptures command us not to chase after the abundant material possessions, wealth and immediate, lustful pleasures of the world; rather, we are to live lives exercising godliness, using the spiritual gifts given to us towards others and be content with what the Lord Jesus has provided as we continually trust in Him.
Exodus 2:16-21, Philippians 4:11-13 and Hebrews 13:5-6.
