"He made two cherubim of beaten gold; he made them of one piece at the two ends of the mercy seat: one cherub at one end on this side, and the other cherub at the other end on that side. He made the cherubim at the two ends of one piece with the mercy seat. The cherubim spread out their wings above, and covered the mercy seat with their wings. They faced one another; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat," Exodus 37:7-9, NKJV. #MercySeat
The first physical "seat" or "throne of God" on earth was represented as the mercy seat, or the place in-between the two golden cherubs on the ark of the covenant where the spirit of God spoke in a cloud; it is a place of judgement which has many forms in scripture, and where even Jesus Christ the Son of God sits, before whom we all must give an account.
Leviticus 16:1-2, Ezekiel 1:25-28 and Romans 14:10-13.
