Leviticus Three - Herd Animals

"When his offering is a sacrifice of a peace offering, if he offers it of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord. And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of meeting; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood all around on the altar," Leviticus 3:1-2, NKJV. #HerdAnimals
The scriptures differentiate the kinds of animals offered to the Lord, of those which graze in fields or pastures, into two groups, herds and flocks; herds typically consist of large bovines that chew the cud, but also other species such as swine, which were never sacrificed, but considered abominations.
Genesis 18:1-7, Jonah 3:5-10 and Matthew 8:28-32.
