The best of the best gifts should be given to the Lord by the believer in return for the very best gift He has given us in His Son Jesus Christ, through whom we have forgiveness of sins and eternal life, which is our own life to live for Him and not ourselves; this delineation of offering the highest quality of something is usually portrayed in the scriptures when it speaks of the giving and receiving of both natural and spiritual gifts.
