These are the areas which Moses had distributed as an inheritance in the plains of Moab on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho eastward. But to the tribe of Levi Moses had given no inheritance; the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as He had said to them," Joshua 13:32-33, NKJV. #NoInheritance
To point the believer's attention heavenward, knowing the temporal existence of mankind on the earth, the Lord chose to give no inheritance among the children of Israel to the Levites, who continually served in the things of God; likewise, He calls all believers now, through Jesus Christ, to not look towards earthly possessions, but to the kingdom of God, which is forever and never fades away.
