Sometimes the Lord will differentiate things from a group, whether it people, animals and even nations, purging those from the rest in order to serve a specific purpose for His use; this setting aside points to the separation which God will one day perform at the Great Judgement, distinguishing those who have been saved by Jesus Christ and those who have not.
