Second Kings Twenty-Three - Burning Paraphernalia

"And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the articles that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel," 2 Kings 23:4, NKJV. #BurningParaphernalia
One of the most proven ways of demonstrating the hatred of evil, the worshiping of other gods or participation in wickedness which is contrary to God is to burn all representations and paraphernalia associated with those practices; this is usually done after repentance, when people show outwardly the total reversal from disobedience toward obedience that has occurred as a result of the Holy Spirit inwardly.
