The bible explicitly states that there are certain people chosen out of the sea of humanity by God the Father to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved; the information as to who would believe was known before the earth was created, and these are apart of a group who are called in the scriptures the "Beloved."
Isaiah 41:8-10, Ephesians 1:3-6 and Revelation 17:14.
