Ezra Six - Issuing Decrees

 

"Then King Darius issued a decree, and a search was made in the archives, where the treasures were stored in Babylon. And at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll was found, and in it a record was written thus," Ezra 6:1-2, NKJV. #Issuing Decrees

A royal decree, which is an edict, statute, commandment, law, and sometimes interpreted as a judgement in the scriptures, is usually issued by a king; it is sent forth throughout all the land to announce a new governmental development, like the requirement to register for the census during the time of Jesus' birth.
