"And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, 'The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, "Give your daughter to my son as wife"; and a wild beast that was in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle. Indeed you say that you have defeated the Edomites, and your heart is lifted up to boast. Stay at home now; why should you meddle with trouble, that you should fall—you and Judah with you?'" 2 Chronicles 25:18-19, NKJV. #BiblicalParables
The scriptures contain a plethora of parables, the majority of them spoken by Jesus, which give allegorical stories and statements that indirectly convey spiritual truth; dreams and visions given by God also tend to communicate in a kind of parabolic language.
Genesis 37:5-6, Matthew 10:16-18 and Romans 11:16-24.
