Nehemiah Eight - Quieting People

"So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, 'Be still, for the day is holy; do not be grieved.' And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them," Nehemiah 8:11-12, NKJV. #QuietingPeople
The word for 'quieted' in this passage comes from the Hebrew word chashah, and this is the only time it appears in the scriptures; other verses which use the same context usually refer to making still the spirit of a crowd, a group of people, or an individual when they normally might be fearful, anxious, full of sorrow, or similarly, as when Jesus spoke to the storm and made it calm.
