In the scriptures, blessedness and happiness are often used interchangeably when speaking in the context of the happy state of of the people of God; there are many instances of happiness, they can be found from suffering for Christ to finding wisdom, but they all fall under living in obedience to the will God.
1 Kings 10:8-9, Proverbs 3:13-15 and Peter 3:13-17.
