Psalm One Hundred Thirty-Six - Enduring Mercy

"Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!" Psalm 136:1-3, NKJV. #EnduringMercy
The mercy of God endures in both meanings of the word, in that it is an aspect of God which can never be removed, but also as something which comes under relentless attack; therefore, this song sung by David is actually a portrait of the Lord Jesus Christ, who personifies enduring mercy and the resistance to it by His death, yet at the same time, demonstrates the immovable eternal mercy of His person which is established forever by His resurrection and continual life.
1 Chronicles 16:34, Ezra 3:11 and 2 Timothy 1:1-2.
