Is wood taken from it to make any object? Or can men make a peg from it to hang any vessel on? Jesus calls Himself the vine, who represents the power and the Spirit of God which brings forth the precious fruit of the grape and its clusters through the mechanism of the people, who are its branches; however, when the branches no longer produce fruit because the people no longer have the Spirit of Christ, scripture says He declares them worthless, and He personally destroys the vineyard.
