Genesis Fifteen - Lighting Darkness
"Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: 'Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years,'" Genesis 15:12-13, NKJV. #LightingDarkness
Before God speaks the light of His word, performs an act showing the brilliance of His character or casts a beam of prophecy exposing the future, He sometimes first makes it extremely dark and terrifying; the scriptures give many examples of how God shines forth out of darkness.
Job 12:22, John 1:2-5 and 2 Corinthians 4:6.
