God often sends His messengers to proclaim judgement on cities, nations and even the world in twos; their declarations usually signify the end of a dispensation and the beginning of a new thing that the Lord is beginning to do on the earth.
Exodus 5:1, Acts 14:11-12 and Revelation 11:3-6.
