Genesis Twenty - Stealing Wives

"And Abraham journeyed from there to the South, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and stayed in Gerar. Now Abraham said of Sarah his wife, 'She is my sister.' And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah," Genesis 20:1-2, NKJV. #StealingWives
A common phenomenon mentioned throughout the scriptures is the act of stealing another man's wife without fear of retribution; though God condemned this both naturally and spiritually adulterous behavior as highly sinful, the Lord's most powerful and well-equipped men were forced to deal with its prevalence.
Judges 14:14-20, 1 Samuel 30:1-3 and Matthew 14:1-5.
