Throughout the scriptures, there were moments in time when one of the twelve, whether it be actual tribes of Israel, or a representation of them, as with the disciples of Jesus Christ, were excluded from the group; the reasons vary concerning the causes as to why one ends up missing, being from blessing and curses to providence and punishment.
