First Chronicles Eight - Building Houses

 

"The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod with its towns; and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of their fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove out the inhabitants of Gath," 1 Chronicles 8:12-13, NKJV. #BuildingHouses

The scriptures speak of many cities, towns and houses which were built and newly established in past times; some of them were named by or given the name of the person or family who first constructed them, others were settled into and renamed, especially if the former inhabitants had been driven out by God.
