First Chronicles Two - Egyptian Connection

 

"Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha. Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai. From the very beginning of recorded history to this very day, the relationship between Israel and Egypt has been a close one; each nation shared husbands and wives, servants, fled into and out of their respective lands across the border (as did the family of Jesus), and blended into each other's cultures so much so that the scriptures say often, it was hard telling them apart.
