First Chronicles Twenty-Seven - Number Twenty-Four

"And the children of Israel, according to their number, the heads of fathers’ houses, the captains of thousands and hundreds and their officers, served the king in every matter of the military divisions. These divisions came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each division having twenty-four thousand." 1 Chronicles 27:1, NKJV. #NumberTwentyFour
The number twenty-four in scripture has significance as far as numerology is concerned, it being double the number twelve, which is directly related to the number of the tribes of Israel and all other symbolism connected to that, including the number of Jesus' disciples and the number of elders surrounding the throne of God the Father in heaven; it seems to point to the closeness or guarding of what is most holy in a military sense, or the delivery of a word or judgement or verdict coming directly from God Himself.
