Psalm Thirty-Nine - Vanishing Life
"Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, and my age is as nothing before You; certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah. Surely every man walks about like a shadow; surely they busy themselves in vain; he heaps up riches, and does not know who will gather them," Psalm 39:5-6, NKJV. #VanishingLife
The Lord reminds us to keep our eyes on eternity; He compares the temporary state of this life, which is limited by the confines of time, to wind, a vapor, or smoke, that appears for one moment, then vanishes away.
Isaiah 51:6, Ecclesiastes 1:13-14 and James 4:13-14.
