God has angels and in some places, the scriptures call them 'sons of God' to perform the work of surveying spiritual structures; they usually appear in visions, dreams or are spoken about by the Lord when He gives revelation to His prophets.
Job 38:4-7, Zechariah 2:1-3 and Revelation 21:15-17.
